How Edvias protects users aged 13 to 17.
Edvias is available to users aged 13 and over. Users under 18 should use Edvias with the guidance of a parent, guardian or teacher.
Edvias is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
During registration, users confirm they meet the minimum age requirement. Accounts found to belong to users under 13 will be removed.
Profiles are private by default for all users, including young users. Sensitive information such as email, phone number, exact date of birth, private messages, assignment content and precise location is never public by default.
Young users must opt in actively to make any profile information visible.
Young users have access to the same reporting, blocking and leave-group tools as all users.
AI features carry the same notices about accuracy and academic integrity. Young users are encouraged to verify AI output with teachers or guardians.
Young users can report any concerning behaviour through the tools in the Safety Centre. Reports involving young users are prioritised.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to discuss online safety with young users, including responsible AI use, academic integrity and how to report concerns.

For additional support, young users and guardians can reach out to relevant national helplines and online safety resources. Specific resource recommendations are to be confirmed by the Edvias owner.
